We are dedicated to the promotion and restoration of health. We understand optimal health
to be a state of harmony and balance of the body, mind and spirit. We incorporate
Western and Eastern philosophies in our treatment plan. Our skills allow us to be
competent, capable and caring practitioners with the compassion to listen and respond to
each of our patients according to their individual needs. We encourage our patients to be
proactive in their treatment. The key to better health is prevention.
Nicole is a graduate of Loyola University, has a Bachelors of Science in Biology,
continued education at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, IL where she
graduated with a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) - she mastered in
Acupuncture and Chinese herbs.
Nicole has a Diplomate in Acupuncture (Dipl. Ac.) and is NCCAOM board certified and
licensed by the state of Illinois ( L.Ac.= licensed acupuncturist) NCCAOM= National
Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Nicole moved to Buffalo Grove from the city to start her own practice, Shea Acupuncture
P.C., in the Touch of Health clinic. The clinic is an integrative group of many different
healthcare professionals specializing in Chiropractic, Podiatry, and Physical Therapy to
name a few, along with myself. She is very active in the city of Buffalo Grove’s
chambers and various other groups in surrounding neighborhoods. She is a member of the
ISAA= Illinois State Acupuncture Association. She routinely gives free education lectures,
i.e. at the library or park district, to make people more aware of Acupuncture and
Oriental Medicine as a powerful medicine.
